Dr. Kenneth Chern

Dr. Chern was born in Washington D. C. and is a board-certified ophthalmologist. After graduating from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Chern completed an additional fellowship in corneal diseases at UCSF. Dr. Chern performs corneal transplantation and small-incision lens implant surgery. Staying current with the latest advancements in eye surgery, he continues his work at UCSF as an assistant clinical professor and has published four books on the fundamentals of ophthalmology. Recently, Dr. Chern and his wife welcomed a new son. In their free time they enjoy gourmet cooking, cycling and cross-country skiing.

Dr. Kawesch was born and raised in New York. He received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Yale University, then graduated from UCLA’s School of Medicine and Eye Institute. He is a featured medical expert on the medical TV show "Eye on Health with Dr. Gary Kawesch" on KRON Channel 4. He has performed LASIK on many celebrities, such as Rachel Leigh Cook and Judge Joe Brown. Dr. Kawesch personally underwent Wavefront laser vision correction at the Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley in 2008.
