About Us - Foundations & Philosophy
Founded by a dedicated group of parents and coaches with a vision to transform the way gymnastics is instructed, our unique team allows us to understand the expectations of our young gymnasts and the concerns of our parents.

Our 12,000 square-foot facility houses the latest men's and women's competition-standard equipment. Two large uniquely designed foam pits allows gymnasts to work safely on various events.

At WCOGA, we believe children learn best when they enjoy what they are doing. That's why we nurture both the physical and mental growth of our gymnasts, and we place emphasis on developing foundation skills to safely prepare and build confidence in achieving advanced skills.

WCOGA opened its doors November of 2004 with the goal to develop a gymnastics program to fit the desires and needs of all athletes from ages 3 years and above. Since that time, we have provided gymnastics training to over 1000 aspiring gymnasts. As a result, we now have one of the most successful competitive teams in California, and our boy’s team was recently ranked within the top 10 in the country.

We truly believe that the sport of gymnastics is beneficial to everyone. Gymnastics allows athletes to develop strength, flexibility, agility and adroitness. These physical qualities are not only useful for athletic achievement, but, are also important to an individual’s health and well being. The performance of gymnastics skills demonstrates perseverance and an ability to overcome fears. As gymnasts master new skills they develop self-esteem. They also develop both mental and physical strength that is not only useful in gymnastics, but will also serve them well in their future endeavors.

Some athletes choose gymnastics for recreation. Some train to enhance their health, coordination and overall well physical being. Others train to participate in the competitive aspect of the sport coupled with Olympic dreams. We are proud to have a mixture of all of these athletes in one facility.

WCOGA will strive to share with each and every child our experience and knowledge of the beautiful sport of gymnastics. In turn, we hope to be a part of their success.
